Winter Arrives in New England

Took a trip up to Maine for the Thanksgiving Holiday and arrived just in time to see it drop about a foot of snow.

Took a trip over into Fryeburg, ME to try and grab a shot of mountains just as the sun set.

Then wandered over into Eaton, NH to try my hand at some long exposures over Crystal Lake.

East Boston Waterfront

Met up with my friends Anthony & Lawrence along the waterfront in East Boston for some late afternoon early evening shots of the Boston Skyline. Decided to give the Fuji X100s a serious go and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Going to try and carry one around more often.

laurie kincaid - Nate, what a beautiful series! You are so gifted!
So grateful that you partnered with The Piano Guys on their stop in Boston to allow us fans to get up close and personal with them and have a memorable photo of the occasion.

Out & About

I’ve been kind of lax on posting as of late so here’s a couple relatively new images.

Near Waverley Square in Belmont, MA

Took a trip up the White Mountains in Maine & NH for a weekend right at the end of September. Almost perfect timing as the foliage for the most part was just beyond peak.

Tackling Monadnock

A couple friends and I decided to try and tackle Mt. Monadnock this weekend.

Sadly we weren’t able to complete the trip all the way to the top due to a late start, but we did manage to find this pretty sweet spot to watch the sunset on the ride home.

Testing out the Nikon D610

Got my hands on a Nikon D610 to play with recently. Here’s a couple shots from being out and about with it.

Gloomy Days

Overall I was pretty impressed with it, it’s a lot lighter than my D700 performs great especially in low light situations. It even has dual card slots which is really nice for the added storage capacity or back up option. Wish they weren’t SD card slots though, but that’s just me personally as I like my CompactFlash cards.
